Battling weight is something I’ve always dealt with.  I was chubby off and on growing up.  In high school, I was so self-conscious of my weight that, looking back now, I starved myself.  I would eat, but it was usually something unhealthy, then I would not eat for the rest of the day.  After graduation, I continued to put on a few pounds, lose the pounds, then put on some more.

Flash forward to having my first child (who is now 5).  I gained close to 50 pounds with my first pregnancy and never did fully take the weight off.  I just had my second child in August 2008 and I am determined to get this weight off for good!

So far, I have lost close to 30 pounds and have ran my first 5K in the process.  I am continuing to work on eating clean, healthy food (with the occasional splurges), and working out.   Trying to do this while working full time and balancing the jobs of wife and mom gets tricky, but I hope to reach my weight loss goal and finally…lose my gut!
